Wendholme
Cottage and Cot Hill Cottage are situated on Maiden Street in the ancient
village of Stratton, just 1.5 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude.

lies central to many attractions with easy access to the A39 trunk Road.
BEACHES:
To the North of Stratton lies Sandy Mouth Bay, which is a secluded cove
with tearoom, car parking and toilet facilities. Coming back down the
coast you come to Bude, which offers a choice of two sandy beaches and
a sea pool patrolled by life guards, ample parking and all amenities.
Widemouth Bay lies just around the coast with its large sandy beach, car
parking, tea room and toilet facilities. There are lots of other beaches
within an easy drive of the cottages.
LOCAL
ACTIVITIES:
There’s plenty to do around the area including the
leisure pool, Raven
Surf School, Harlequinns
(tenpin bowling, go-karts and adventure play area). The Bude
and North Cornwall Golf Club is one of the finest links courses in
the West Country. There is also the
Ivy Leaf Golf Course and the Ivy
Leaf Mountain Boarding Centre nearby.
For walking enthusiasts, the Tamar Lakes are a short distance away and
there are miles of stunning coastal paths to explore.
ATTRACTIONS:
North on the A39 takes you past Brocklands
Adventure Park, Killarny
Springs Family Park, Hartland Point, Clovelly Village and ‘The
Milky Way’, onto Bideford and access to the Tarka
Trail.
Southern attractions include Lanhydrock
House and the Eden Project,
an hours drive away.
There is an annual
jazz festival in Bude when New Orleans comes to Cornwall!

Within Stratton itself pubs and restaurants include The
Tree Inn (famous inn, full of character with beautiful 13th century
Galleon Restaurant & delightful bars serving great bar food, and folk
nights on alternate Fridays) and The
Stratton Gardens Hotel.

Bude there are a wide variety of places to eat including:
